Privacy Policy

We ask only for what we need to plan your light, and we never sell it.

This policy explains how Illuminatics, the lighting brand of Microlight (“Illuminatics”, “we”, “us”), handles the personal data it collects through illuminatics.in (the “site”) and the enquiries you send us. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.

Who we are

Illuminatics is a lighting studio at 2nd & 3rd floor, Mahadev Arcade, UM Road, opp. C.S. Vidya Bharti Public School, Bhatar, overbridge, Surat, Gujarat 395017, India. What we collect

Only what you choose to give us, and the little that every website receives:

• When you start a project (the contact form): your name and phone number and, if you add them, your email, city, the kind of project, your role in it and a day and time you would like to meet.
• When you ask for a quote on a product: the product and the options you picked (colour temperature, beam, quantity), your name and phone number and, if you add them, your email, company or practice, project city, role and any notes.
• When you call, email or message us: what you tell us, and the number or address you contact us from.
• When you visit the site: your IP address and the basic details of each request (browser, page, time), which our server receives as any web server does. The site holds your IP address briefly, in memory, to stop a form being sent too often, and our hosting keeps standard server logs for security.

We do not ask for payment details, government ID numbers or other sensitive personal data on the site. Please don’t send them through a form.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry, prepare quotes and lighting proposals, and arrange a studio visit at the time you asked for.
• To contact you about your enquiry or project by phone, WhatsApp or email.
• To keep a record of enquiries and projects, as any business must, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To keep the site secure and working, and to stop spam and misuse.

We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them, and we never sell or rent your personal data.

Why we may use it

You send us your details for a clear purpose, your enquiry, and by sending a form you consent to our using them for it. Some processing is a legitimate use the law allows without consent, such as keeping records the law requires or keeping the site secure. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights). Withdrawing it does not affect what we did before.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and does not currently run analytics. It keeps two small items in your browser’s session storage: the light setting you chose (its colour and brightness) and whether you have already seen the opening animation. Both are deleted when you close the tab and are never sent to us. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who run things for us: the company that builds and hosts the site and the content system where enquiries are stored, and our email and phone providers. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
• People working on your project, such as our installers or a supplier of a fitting, only as far as your project needs.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Links on the site to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and other services take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We don’t control what they collect.

Where it is kept and for how long

Enquiries are stored in our content system, on our providers’ servers. We keep your details for as long as we need them for your enquiry and any project that follows, and after that only as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Then we delete them. Server logs are kept only for a short time.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Your enquiry goes from our server to the content system, never straight from your browser, and only the people who need it can read it. We follow reasonable security practices, as the law expects, but no system on the internet is completely secure.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us:

• for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• to correct, complete or update it;
• to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
• to withdraw your consent;
• to let a person you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
• to resolve a complaint about how we handle your data.

Write to info@illuminatics.in from the email address or phone number you gave us, or tell us how we can confirm it’s you. We will reply as soon as we can, within the time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

The site is meant for adults planning the lighting of a home or a business. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the new version applies from that date.
